Is Christiano Ronaldo gay?

While being interviewed by the press on her European tour, Rihanna was asked about her relationship with soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Her response?
“I have a lot of gay friends and support sexual diversity,” the singer reportedly said. Not conclusive proof but he does have the buffed appearance you might expect with a gay fellow.

“Crime Scene Do Not Cross." Those words - written in black, block letters across a thin yellow plastic strip - are a recognizable mainstay at almost any criminal investigation site.
However, onlookers passing by a fatal crash Monday in south Houston saw what appeared to resemble an advertisement surrounding the wreckage rather than crime scene tape. The words on the caution tape contained advertising along with a phone number for the company.
It turns out the Houston Police Department isn't suddenly commercializing crime scenes.
After investigating the matter over two days, officials determined the use of the Garage Floor Coating tape was an isolated instance, and they do not purchase crime scene tape showing advertisements, said department spokesman John Cannon.
A patrol officer arriving at the crash scene Monday morning quickly grabbed tape that was in the cruiser he was driving, Cannon said. The officer did not realize what the tape said until it was taken down after the wreck. It's still unclear how the tape ended up in the police vehicle. Workers erect the tape around garages, walkways, driveways and patios that have been freshly coated. The tape also acts as an advertisement for the company. "I don't know how it possibly could have gotten there (at crime scene)," he said. The matter is being addressed with the patrol officer, Cannon said, adding that the division commander also is asking all patrol officers to check their police vehicles for such caution tape. News crews and photographers captured the caution tape strung outside the crash site in the 2400 block of Holman. Authorities said the wreck occurred around 4:30 am., when the driver of a sports utility vehicle crashed head-on into a Houston Fire Department ambulance parked outside a home. The crash forced the ambulance into another HFD emergency vehicle parked nearby.

Warhol's Last Soup Can

A group of university students and art sleuths have managed to recover lost digital images that were apparently created by Andy Warhol nearly 30 years ago and stored on floppy computer disks.

The Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Mellon University and the Carnegie Museum of Art - the three Pittsburgh institutions that all had a hand in the project - revealed the story this week in three news releases that included some of the images.

Those three images of an altered Botticelli's Venus, a Warhol self-portrait, and a Campbell's soup can - of 28 that were found on the disks - were enough to excite Warhol fanatics around the world over the possibility that something - anything - new by the King of Pop Art had been revealed.

They were created on Warhol's Commodore Amiga computer in 1985 and included versions of some of his other most iconic images such as a banana and Marilyn Monroe, neither of which have been released yet, and may never be.

A man who worked with the now-defunct Amiga World magazine - which did a story in January 1986 about Warhol and his use of the Amiga computer - said he "doesn't think Warhol actually made a lot of those images".

While it might be easy to think that new computer images by Warhol could quickly be turned into revenue for the museum, Wrbican said that even if Warhol did create them, it was not so easy to begin printing them.

Brazil World Cup

With less than seven weeks until the World Cup kicks off in Rio de Janeiro, the latest unrest in the city last week has alarmed organisers and authorities, and only underlined the problems that they face, with the likelihood of more protests in the run up to and during the World Cup tournament and elections later this year.

Angered by what they see as a misrepresentation of the issues by traditional media, new independent media collectives and networks have emerged over the past year.

"Contrary to most of the reports in Brazil's mass media, the wave of protests and occupations in our country are not carried out by 'thugs' or a manipulated throng," says Felipe Altenfelder, a founding member of Midia Ninja.

"This is about a crisis for democracy and more rights, and this new independent media in Brazil, streaming and circulating thousands of photos and videos in real time, has played a decisive role in making sure those protests were properly covered," Altenfelder says.

The protests in Sao Paulo during the Confederations Cup last June were a turning point for the newly formed Midia Ninja, as they provided the first glimpse of the size of audience the collective could reach.

"It captivated the country for the duration of the Confederations Cup, and put Brazil on the map of the new 'global springs'.

Brazil has hosted the World Cup only once before, in 1950, when the biggest crowd to ever watch a football match estimated at more than 200,000 people crammed into the Maracana stadium to watch the hosts play Uruguay in the final.

When it was first announced that Brazil would host this year's World Cup, back in 2007, many Brazilians saw the tournament as the moment when the country which, according to an old saying, is the "country of the future and always will be" finally took its place on the world stage.

"Who would have thought that in the land of football, the population would take to the streets and social networks to criticise the World Cup and the investment in the stadiums," says Rafael Vilela, a photographer and another founder member of Midia Ninja.

"This is a new Brazil, where there is no contradiction between loving football and being able to criticise the World Cup," says Vilela.

Malini believes that "a big part of the old media saw itself humiliated by the incoming truths coming as news, streaming and first-hand accounts from the new Brazilian movement.

"These will be the first elections to take place since the emergence of Brazil's new political climate, fuelled by a new generation whose primary political reference is the popular government of former president Lula [Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva].

These young activists are aware that, with the World Cup, elections and Olympics, the eyes of the world are on Brazil and there is a huge appetite to find out more about the complex political and social situation in the country.

Midia Ninja are working with other collectives and activists in the runup to and during the World Cup.

altcoins

The altcoin market continues to grow both in trade volume and several new coins. Bitcoin price remains around 500USD low but stable, endless stories from China about bans and restrictions on virtual currency have little effect on the amount of bitcoin being bought by China, which is buying more bitcoin than anyone else, 100 per minute is normal. China also has a large altcoin market BTC-CC, which have a significant effect on Western markets.
Aurora coin suffered a large drop in price over past few days fuelled by malicious online rumours about security. The developers announced the free coins for Icelanders would take a year to deliver which pushed price and demand up.

Currently mining Pot coin, World coin, Sex coin and Hobonickels these are all listed as good performers, coin tweak tends to favour switch pools.
Pot coin and Sex coin are steady and climbing shored up by solid business. The returns on these coins are speculation and really only pay out if the value grows. Hobonickels can be bought and sold for a monthly return.

New Brazilian exchange opens this week Bleutrade, still waiting on the delayed Coin Melon exchange from Argentina which appears to have stalled.
Finally an important recent development is that you can now top up mobile phones and buy mobile internet with vouchers bought with crypto cash, most coins accepted, at CryptodeChange, it is also possible to buy pizza with Dogecoin. Awesome.
